If you achieved your assessor qualifications as either the D32 or A1 units prior to 2010, and have not been regularly assessing since then, you may find that prospective employers will require you to have evidenced CPD or undertaken an ‘update’ course to refresh and maintain your knowledge in the field of Assessment. This ‘TAQA Update Course’ delivered by Concept Academies is designed to enable you to understand the differences in the new frameworks, structure and delivery of the new suite of TAQA qualifications and also provide a refresher of some of the underpinning knowledge and understanding around the basic principles of assessment to enable you to assess with renewed confidence.
A CPD certificate will be issued to all individuals at the end of the course.

Due to popular demand, our TAQA update course is now available on-line on our modern e-learning platform for those of you unable to attend our classroom course, or who prefer to study at your pace.
Choosing an Online learning course is not an easy option for learning, it does not require less work than a traditional teacher led classroom environment, and it does not mean that you can skip the areas which are less interesting to you. Your ongoing informal assessments will reflect if you have skimped in any of these areas and you will end up having to go back and refresh your knowledge.
Online learning though, does have benefits:
As well as some disadvantages:
We estimate that the course will take around 8-10 hours to complete fully, and a CPD certificate is available as with the classroom course on completion of the e-learning programme. The content is identical to our classroom based course as above.
